The BC Government recently renamed Distributed Learning (DL) to Online Learning (OL) EPIC is in partnership with Navigate NIDES, through the Heartwood Community to deliver BC curriculum to our children onsite, and to supervise their at home learning. EPIC students are enrolled in a B.C. Ministry of Education supported public school classroom alternative.

For EPIC this means that the onsite (guided outdoor) portion of EPIC learning is facilitated by a BC certified teacher, and the same teacher supports EPIC student’s individualized home learning opportunities.

OL is a title used for academic and funding purposes. For EPIC this means that we have the flexibility to create a community of learners with access to Ministry funding while offering a rich curriculum. It also allows us to support families who value learning, and ensures that each student has their own personal learning plan.
